Our new Youth Peace Hypocrisy Project is spreading like sweet butter on burnt toast. It's called "Strangle the Life Out of Violence," or SLOV.
SLOV is based on the philosophy that the highest expression of love is to kick violence in the teeth and make it bleed from the eyes.
When people feel empty and directionless, they become arrogant. Arrogance is the breeding ground of violence. Arrogant people think they are better than everyone, but really, they are just envious. All people over the age of 30 are like this. Young people are not like this, which is why SLOV must be implemented by Youth.
SLOV is not a joke. Humor with regard to violence is totally inappropriate and must be stopped. My earnestness about this point is lethal. I detect no irony and neither should you.
Parody is passive violence: satire kills.
People who say that SLOV *does not accord with Buddhism* are negative. Negativity inevitably leads to passive violence such as name-calling and teasing. Teasing results in war.
This is why people who make fun of others for any reason must be beaten in the face with enlightened wisdom. This is called "listening."
Kindescension is a peaceful weapon for crushing the windpipe of negativity.
Kindescension teaches us to praise others lavishly when we despise their negativity. We must smile warmly as we put a boot in their behind. This is called "understanding."
After all, a person who fails to cherish the shared humanity of all people is a sickening waste. We must hold such a person's head underwater in order to support and compassionately understand him or her.
SLOV means never having to say you're sorry.
SLOV is absolute truth, so anything you do for SLOV is noble. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance. As the Great-Grandfather of Soul, Dr. Mahatma Gandhi, sang a hundred years ago at Woodstock:
There's a rose in the fisted glove, and the eagle flies with the dove. If you can't be with the one you SLOV, SLOV the one you're with.
These words have inspired a new generation. We are Youth. The whole future depends on us.
