Gotta put in a shameless plug here.
The Nichiren Buddhist Sangha of Texas is hosting a Dharma Conference in Houston, April 16th through 18th.
For those of you who have seen this already, or aren't interested, don't continue reading:
This conference is open to anyone interested in Buddhism in general, or Nichiren Buddhism in particular. It is presented from the perspective of Nichiren Shu, but open to anyone who is interested. It runs from Friday evening to Sunday noontime, and will cover from general Buddhist basics (suitable for those unfamiliar) to the details of Nichiren Buddhism.
We will have a number of different services and practices for you to participate in, as well as information and discussion sessions. This will be a rare opportunity for anyone interested in an introduction to Nichiren Buddhism in general, or to Nichiren Shu in particular. Several ministers and shami (ministers-in-training) will be on hand to facilitate and answer questions.
Reduced price airfares are available through Continental, we have negotiated conference pricing with our host hotel, and we would love to welcome anyone and everyone to our Conference!
