Get the new blog rolling

The "community" blog mentioned in my previous post is now open for business unavailable. I won't be posting anything new here until Monday. Have a great weekend! LJ

Great Blog, Lisa!

I'm going to enjoy posting on it.

I was listening to the Dr. Laura radio show this afternoon. A man named Patrick called in who said he had been living in Japan and was married to a Japanese woman. She is a member of the Soka Gakkai, a Jim Jones thing, he said.

She left him taking their small boy with her. He hasnt been able to find either of them since then.

I heard the same fellow call into the Bill Wattenburg radio show on KGO last November. Patrick told the same story and referred to the Soka Gakkai as devious. Theyre devious, he said several times.

Shortly afterward a woman SGI member called into the same show (Wattenburg), offering to help Patrick. She said she would call the local culture center in San Francisco to see if someone there could contact the Soka Gakkai in Japan to help him find his wife and son. That was back in November. The man still hasnt found his son.

To clarify, I don't think tha the SGI is a suicice cult. I simple reported what a person said on a well known national radio show. He may have meant "Jim Jones thing" in the sense of fanatical devotion to a leader. However, Dr. Laura sounded like she took it to mean a suicide cult. I thought someone might care what is being said about SGI on national radio.

Oops! I meant suicide not suicice and simply not simple. To much white wine with the pizza tonight.

Dear Lisa,

First - I'd like to express my admiration about the site (which I didn't explore in full-yet:). You are doing an excelent job and I sincerely hope You receive all the benefits that are coming Your way. You deserve each and every one of them!
Second - I was initiated in N.Y., in 1988., and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me (I didn't know it then). The person who shakabuku-ed me was my ex, and check this out : her name is Lisa Jones !!! I did think that You might be her, which is the main reason why I entered the site. And I am glad I did, because I like it.
I would like to thank "my" Lisa for pointing me to the right direction, but I lost touch with her, years ago. And if anybody from N.Y. who knows her, is reading this, please send my regards.
Thanx for everything, Lisa!
