Remember the first time you heard daimoku?

NichirenChantingCommunity

Dang! This blog post made me homesick for a place that doesn't exist:

I fell into the easy rythym of the chant. About half way through, RJ looked up and said, "call me." Which is a code word for HOT MAN. I paused in my chanting to appreciate the Latin thick 'em that was moving out to take a call. Yes, the Buddha is good. Hey glory.

Remember the first time you went to a meeting? Didn't it feel as if a whole new world was opening in front of you, complete with desire and rhythm?

...but then there's always something that comes along and breaks the magic spell...thankfully.

I give up. What language is that quote in?

Can't understand a thing they say anymore. I'm guessing it's gay slang.

First of all, what a surprise and a blessing to find my blog quoted here at BuddhaJones. Thank you!Let me help with the gay slang vocab."call me"= Hot guyThick 'em=Is a hot guy with a well built "thick" bodyBasically,I was chanting and lost in the atmosphere and my friend whispered "call me" (Check out that hot guy)...I looked over and there was a fantastically beautiful latino gay man walking by. He was leaving the meeting to take a phone call. There ya go ;-).

Thanks for dropping in. Your post needed no translation for me. I'm not gay, but I knew exactly what you were talking about. I've had similar experiences at meetings myself.
