We are like filters. Pull out the dryer screen on your clothes dryer and look at the lint. That's life experience. Except real life experience can't be pulled off and thrown away. This is how "the truth" is seen by each human being, filtered through all that life experience, both painful and pleasurable.
Each human being is like a seperate cosmic little universe of life experience, spinning in it's unique elliptical orbit around imaginary and fanciful notions of how life on planet earth should be.
It's not as simple as "reality is in the mind" which is an over-used and outdated cliche, since the world is the world. The objective remains what it is. How we see it, each of us, how we feel about it and finally how we respond to it is what creates our own subjective world view.
How we experience our world has much to do with what we value. Our individual values which we created and defined ourselves throughout our lives determine how we proceed, step by step, minute by painful minute.
From a simple perspective the sum of these values is what many call karma.
Oh sure, it's great fun to imagine we remember our past lives. I had a past life read once. I won't share it here but no, I wasn't the godamm king of Egypt or Merlin the magician. Funny, you never hear anyone tell of a past life as a manure-shoveling peasant who was accidently run over by an ox cart.
Ummm... damn. I've run out of blog.
I hate when that happens, you're writing and profound thoughts and ideas, both scholarly and lucid and flowing, then nothing... all gone.
Nope - nothing there...
